I see you on the shore of your struggle. You have been so battered by the waves of life. You set out to sail upon the water and make your way in the world. Even after you met Me, you continued swimming in your own strength to prove to the world who you had become. If they agreed, then perhaps, you thought, it would be true. So you set out to serve, “because the least of these is the greatest”, you said to your unbelieving heart. Now I see you face down in the sand. The strain of service a bitter taste in your mouth. I’ve tasted this defeat as well, as I hung on the tree and surrendered and look where it brought Me. And it is here now on this shore that I ask you…Do you believe?
