I have created you to have purpose and to know who you are to Me. But so often you look to others or to your performance to tell you who you are. There is danger in this. You have an idea of what you want to be, and you begin to act in a way that will cause people to respond in approval, yet you are becoming untrue to Me. People and things have become idols in your life, and you are serving for their reactions instead of believing what I have said about you. I am asking you to come away from those things and admit that they can’t give you what you are looking for. After your confession, I want you to ask Me who you are to Me and be still long enough for Me to instruct you in the way you should go. For you are MY workmanship, created in Me to do good works that have already been prepared for you.

~God

Colossians 3:10 and having put on the new self. You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your Creator.

Ecclesiastes 4:4 Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man’s envy of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

Isaiah 45:18 For this is what the Lord says- God is the Creator of the heavens. He formed the earth and made it. He established it; He did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited- “I am Yahweh, and there is no other.”
