I desire your attention and your affection. I have watched you study diligently trying to find Me. I have counted your steps as you have gone from one thing to another seeking to experience My Presence. I have held you when you were too tired to receive another thing. I have seen you serve and subtly talk about the things you do. It isn’t because you are proud, it is because you seek approval. I know how you have used Me and service to Me to keep from feeling invaluable. O you are precious to Me! How I long for you to sit awhile and be My friend. To look at Me and believe what I’ve told you. It isn’t by works but by My grace. I long for you to value My friendship above all else, for you were created in Me, to do good works, which are already prepared for you. As you sit with Me, I will guide you into all truth. I am the way, the truth and the life. Come now, and know that I have extended you permission to rest, to be still and know Me. Learn from Me what I have for you to do.

Ephesians 2:8 For you are saved by faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift–not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time, so that we should walk in them.
